  2. Dear Shareware Customer....
  3.  
  4. Welcome to the 6th (September 1996) edition of the JCS Distribution
  5. BEST of the Author to Vendor (A2V) CD-ROM!
  6.  
  7. To keep the size of this file at a minimum, other files are available in the 
  8. main directory:
  9.  
  10.    CLASSDIR.TXT    -  Roadmap to our new directory structure
  11.    ALPHA.ASC       -  Alphabetical program List
  12.    CLASS.ASC       -  Program list by Numerical Classification
  13.                    -  Plus other files ending in .ASC for author mailing
  14.                       lists, and other program sequences.
  15.                       
  16. The CD-ROM contains: 
  17.  
  18. a) Class subdirectories, which contain FILES.BBS and LFILES.BBS files for 
  19.    those who wish to directly mount the CD-ROM on a BBS.  Of interest, the 
  20.    main directory also contains a FILES and LFILES directory for your 
  21.    convenience.  For those wanting a single file directory, an ALLFILES.TXT
  22.    and a LNGFILES.TXT file is also available.

  25. b) A file access routine, JCSD.EXE for your convenience.  If an author
  26.    has included a version for vendors, and another for BBSs, the access 
  27.    routine now allows the user to UNZIP the appropriate version.
  28.  
  29. c) As a courtesy to the Author, and for the convenience of using
  30.    vendors, we have included various SCREEN SHOTS 
  31.    supplied by the author.  These files are available for UNZIPPING and 
  32.    use as the user sees fit.  They are most easily accessed thru the 
  33.    access routine JCSD.EXE
  34.  
  35. d) A directory "VBRUN" which contains all five VBRUNXXX files required by
  36.    some windows programs.

  39. To use the CD-ROM, two options are available......
  40.  
  41. 1.  Simply run from the CD-ROM, as is, by:
  42.  
  43.   a:  Make the CD-ROM drive the current drive.
  44.  
  45.   b:  Execute the program JCSD.
  46.  
  47.   c:  Follow the prompts.
  48.  
  49. 2.  Install the programs and files to your hard disk directories by:
  50.  
  51.   a:  Make the CD-ROM drive the current drive.
  52.  
  53.   b:  type INSTALL x y where:
  54.  
  55.            x is the hard drive to which you want to install.
  56.            y is the drive code of your CD-ROM drive.
  57.  
  58.            NOTE:  DO NOT include the ":" with the drive letters
  59.  
  60.            example:  INSTALL C F
  61.              will install the files to the C: drive from the F: drive.
  62.  
  63.            a subdirectory \JCSD will be created and about 5.0 mb
  64.            copied to it.  You will be left in the directory created.
  65.  
  66.   c:  Execute JCSD
  67.  
  68.   d:  At later points, to execute the program, CD \JCSD, and 
  69.         execute JCSD.
  70.  
  71. Enjoy the programs, and remember the requirement to 
  72. register the programs found useful!  The authors whose works are 
  73. contained have paid for the distribution service, and appreciate your
  74. support of the shareware concept by registering the programs found
  75. useful.

  77. Each of the next issues of the BEST of the A2V will be accumulative, 
  78. with the previous issue used as the basis for the new issue.  New 
  79. programs will be added, and updates will replace previous versions.
